Walter Pakistan bags Effie Award for Pepsi ‘Made for Cricket’ campaign

The marketing and advertising sphere in Pakistan has received recognition all around the world with Walter Pakistan winning an Effie Award for its ‘Made for Cricket’ campaign for ‘Pepsi’ during 2012’s Twenty20 WorldCup in Singapore last week.

The award was received by Nadeem Wahid, Director Design; Ali Gondal, Creative Director; and Ali Hayat Rizvi, Chief Creative Officer from Walter Pakistan.

The Effie Awards are held by the non-profit organisation Effie Worldwide Inc. to honour the most effective ideas in marketing communications from all around the world.

The gala, held on April 3, awarded Walter Pakistan with the APAC Effie, which honours the marketing successes from the Asia-Pacific region.

Walter Pakistan bagged the top honour of Silver in the category of Non-Alcoholic Beverages.
It was competing with McCann World Group India, PHD India, Ogilvy Malaysia, Ogilvy Bangladesh and BBDO China
The ‘Made for Cricket’ campaign for Pepsi had been a huge success when it was released during Twenty20 World Cup in 2012, exceeding the sales targets and achieving the highest awareness index for any Pepsi campaign in its marketing history in Pakistan.
