The United States ambassador to Islamabad Richard Olson said that Pakistani journalists are playing an important role in society. He further said, the media in Pakistan is free and vibrant which is a recent trend. The American top diplomat was making his brief remarks at a reception hosted by the of the US embassy public affairs minister-counselor Peter Brennan in honour of visiting delegation of American journalists from the East West Centre.
