The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has abolished the project of construction of 8,000 flats in Sector I-15 and has given approval for creation of plots in place of flats.
CDA in the wake of this development is all set to re-evolve planning of this sector. As soon as the process of re-planning of this sector is completed, development work will be started therein.
CDA had conducted balloting of plots and flats in respect of sector I-15 in August, 2005. CDA had awarded contract to Al-Khan Construction Company for completion of development work within two years but the company failed to start work and its contract was terminated in 2007.
CDA board convened its meeting on June, 17, 2003 and during the meeting the plan for construction of flats was abolished. Bidding will soon be invited for awarding contract to any firm for speedy development of this new sector. Plan has been devised to complete development work within three years.
