Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) former Chairman Zaka Ashraf has denied reports of rejecting ‘Big-4’ offer during his tenure.

Ashraf affirmed that Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) chairman Srinivasan had offered Pakistan to join their consortium, to make it ‘Big-4’ including Australia, England and India.

“We discussed the proposal thoroughly with former board officials and relevant stake holders. Later when we sat with other boards in an ICC meeting in Dubai, India refused to hold on its word on Big-4 and discarded the proposal,” said Ashraf.

The PCB should stick to its stance on Big-3 and should not trust India on their words, insisted the ex-PCB chief.

He added that he had briefed the media about all ‘Big-3’ developments, hence criticising his tenure for any miscalculated move was not appropriate.

  1. He is a man of words! his only stance was Pakistan's pride and he stood by only for it!

  2. As always! these indians are Pakistans enemy.. they are habitual in refusals. And to me this dishonesty on the part of India was enough for us to disapprove the b-3! We as a nation still stand with the stance of ZA! and refuse and oppose what Sethi decided on whatever grounds!

  3. Sethi is a liar! he doesnot deserve this chairmanship! this chirya man destroyed the image of PCB worldwide! he simply sold us to big3 with a smile.

  4. These two guys., Najam & Nawaz are big traitors! U see how this ganja never met with Zaka to discuss the big3 issue? He sacked ZA onl because of standing against it. and now u see his very own chirya wala puppet is doing the stuff he wanted. Nawaz only wanted to please Indian government. he is a traitor!

  5. This Sethi back in the 70s has participated in Baloch insurgency. and on the orders of whom??? off course America and India. Since all what they want is the destruction of Pak. He is an indian agent! mano ya na mano!

  6. Yes he was right. we can not believe indians when they say they will play with us. we off course needed some document proof for that. and when Indians as per tradition stepped back from the offer we obviously had to safe guard our own interest.
