A large number of residents thronged recreational places due to pleasant weather in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as these points were packed with visitors on Sunday.
The citizens were seen flocking the areas like Pir Sohawar, Damn-e-Koh, Fatima Jinnah Park, Pakistan Monument, Shakarparian, food outlets, Ayub National Park, Family Park, Jinnah Park and Nawaz Sharif Public Park in the twin cities.
The reason behind fun-making at the parks was that some school children were free after their final exams, while some children were enjoying their spring vacations.
“We have come here with our family from Rawalpindi and are enjoying,” Rameen Iqbal said in a high tune of amusement. “The Lake View Park is my favorite place, especially in the beautiful weather,” she added.
The other visitors while talking to APP said that weather has turned pleasant in the twin cities after the current spell of rains, thus it was right time to visit tourist spots and enjoy spare time.
Rains and pleasant weather is a treat for the residents of the twin cities allowing them to enjoy glimpses of nature on weekend.
I have never seen this type of weather and it is one of the memorable days of my life with a lovely breeze,” a little girl Marryam Shah said. “I love the Lake View Park and want to visit it on every Sunday,” she added.
Moreover, residents of the garrison city also set off to various parks including Nawaz Sharif Park, Ayub Park, Jinnah Park and Zia Park. Besides these amusements, the people also seemed complaining about lack of facilities at the parks and high rates of edible items at canteens and cafeteria as well. They were also irritated while paying extra money for parking facilities. They were of the view that entry should be free and the prices of all items be controlled by the authorities concerned so that the people could enjoy more.
