The government is making sincere efforts to improve trade ties with India and Pak-India trade volume can cross $10 billion in a few years, said Chairman Pak India Business Council (PIBC) Noor Muhammad Kasuri on Sunday.
Liberalization of trade between Pakistan and India will bring peace, progress and prosperity in the two countries as both have enormous untapped business potential, he said in an interview with APP.
He said Pakistan would be a beneficiary of the liberalized trade as its industrialists and exporters would get a big market.
Kasuri said trade through land routes and train should be given preference, which would not only make Lahore a hub of economic activities but also boom its real estate sector. He said the prices of cement in Pakistan were the lowest in the world with the highest quality standard and Indians could benefit from it.
