Over 1900 pollen allergy patients treated at free camp

Over 1,900 pollen allergy patients have been treated at a camp established at Aabpara Community Center with provision of medicines free of charge during last seven days.
A spokesman of ICT Administration, in a statement, said some 300 allergy patients visited the camp on Sunday and got treatment.
Allopathic, homeopathic and Tib-e-Unani treatment facilities were available for the allergy patients at the camp with separate counters for male and female patients, he added.
He said the people had appreciated the free treatment facilities for the allergy patients at the camp. The 12th free pollen allergy relief camp started at Aabpara Community Center on March 31. The spokesman said the ICT Administration had been organizing free camps since 2004 in the spring season, where 62,000 allergy patients had been treated so far.
This camp provides greater relief to the allergy patients in the spring season. Pharmaceutical companies, chemists, National Council for Tibb, Hamdard Dawakhana, Qurshi Dawakhana, co-operate and donate medicines for the camp.
Hakeem Rizwan Hafeez, allergy specialist Dr. Osman Yousaf and Athar Niaz Rana also dedicate their services and attend the patients at the camps.
Three treatment facilities are provided at the camps including allopathic, homeopathic and Tib-i-Unani, and separate counters are set up for the children, males and females.
All medicines are provided free of charge to the patients along with nebulization facility at the camp through donors co-operation.
Health related educational material is also provided to the patients for creating awareness about the disease.
