A 12-year-old girl was married off to a 50-year-old man against a sum of Rs o.1 million. Police arrested the man and took the girl into protective custody on Saturday.
Reportedly, Mohammad Ali Shah, father of five children, paid Rs 100,000 as bargain for the bride. Police reached the occasion and arrested the groom, Mohammad Ali, and the nikah registrar. Police also took the bride into protective custody. In a statement, the bride said her sister arranged this marriage to a ‘wealthy groom’. According to the police, the girl was sold off against the money. An investigation in this regard has begun.
We should think what we are doing with our generations, not giving them food, education and security. but loosing our work force.
