Two alleged kidnappers were killed in an encounter in Sohrab Goth area on Saturday.
According to CID inspector, Raja Khalid, Crime Investigation Department (CID) Police carried out a raid near Delux Home area at Sohrab Goth for recovery of a kidnapped person. The two abductors were injured in the retaliatory fire.
They were shifted to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The two killed kidnappers were identified as Abdullah and Zakaria. They both were members of an outlawed militant organisation. Inspector Raja Khalid said their accomplices fled with the abducted person. All efforts were being made for recovery of the abductee, he added.
