Upon assumption of charge of the post of Director General Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, Mr. Waqas Ali Mahmood received a briefing from Directors of their respective wings, on Wednesday the 2nd April, 2014. Directors briefed the DG on the overall achievements of the Foundation on account of allotment of plots and provision of residential facilities to federal government employees till date. DG emphasized upon the need to ensure integrity of record and desired that archiving of record should be accorded the top most priority. It was further decided that all record should be scanned for the purpose of transparency and backups should be maintained in case of any loss or accidental damage to files.
Whilst, US officials have toned down the number of civilian deaths and have stressed the number of militants killed, the residents of the tribal areas tell a different version of the statics.
