QUETTA-
A rocking explosion near the Pak-Afghan border killed at least two people and injured 13 others on Wednesday, a private news channel reported.
According to the report, unknown militants had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in a motorcycle near a bank in the Afghan area of Vash Mandi.
According to sources, the prime target of the blast was the Afghan police officials coming in the bank.
The explosion damaged the bank building, nearby shops and vehicles.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack as yet.
Pakistani authorities called in the FC personnel at the border to prevent any untoward incident following the blast.
Our common enemies remain focused on destabilizing the region with their acts of terror. This attack joins the very long list of crimes against the innocent people in the region. Thousands have fallen victim to terrorist activities on both sides of the border, and the enemies of peace continue to push their deadly mission forward. It is easy to see that the threat lies on both sides of the border, and we strongly encourage both nations to remain united against our common enemies. We have shared interests in the region, and the terrorists also see our nations as a common threat to their mission. We cannot overlook the importance of cooperation and coordination against those who are working against our peace objectives in the region. The seriousness of the situation requires our nations to solidify and negate the threat of terrorism through shared efforts.
