The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday froze bank accounts of Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) for defaulting over Rs 530 million in taxes.
According to FBR sources, the revenue board sent several notices to PEPCO asking it to pay the due taxes but it did not receive a positive response. Therefore, FBR froze their bank accounts under its ongoing recovery campaign. They said that the bank accounts will be restored after the recovery of taxes.
