Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that his government was initiating a transparent process for the management of civil airports in Pakistan and international companies would be invited to compete in bidding process in this regard.
Talking to delegations of Turkish companies STFA and TAV at the PM House, the prime minister said that Pakistan wants to develop its airports to meet international standards.
Pakistan provides friendly environment for the foreign investors as Pakistan’s economy was full of opportunities in energy and infrastructure sectors, he said. Pakistan’s economic policies have begun to show positive results and as a result the foreign investors were keen to harvest benefits of progressing economy, he added and pointed that many foreign investors have shown interest in investment in different sectors of economy.
The CEOs of Turkish companies said their companies have expertise in management and expansion of airports and expressed desire to invest in this sector in Pakistan.
The meeting was attended by STFA Ceo Mehmet Ali Neyzi, Pakistan Turkey Business Council Vice Chairman Riza Arsan and TAV Investment Coordinator Bulent Ozuturk.
The Pakistan side included Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Defence Minister Kh Asif, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatimi and Special Assistant to PM Shujaat Azim.

Just wondering why turkish firms are favour with every infrastructure projects ! Is there NO other countries in the world have firms which have expertise in development of larger scale projects.
