KARACHI-
The torched body of a 22-year-old trainee nurse, who was kidnapped, tortured and raped before being set on fire, was found by the police on Monday evening in Khuda Ki Basti area of Karachi.
According to the police, the body was spotted near the Lyari riverbank in the area.
The blood found at the crime scene reflected that the victim was first hit in the head with a blunt weapon and was set on fire after sprinkling oil on her, said the Manghopir deputy superintendent of police Shaukat Shani.
The body was shifted to a hospital where the doctors told the investigators that the girl was murdered two to three hours before her body was received by the hospital.
The victims had received 100 percent burn injuries and she had also been raped, added the doctors.
She was identified by a card in her purse that was found from the crime scene.
The victim was a trainee nurse at Sindh Govt Qatar Hospital.
According to the victim’s father, she left home for work in the morning and was then found dead at around 4pm.
She must have been kidnapped on her way to the hospital, added the investigators.
The father said they had no enmity with anyone.
Believe it or not it is repercussion of Indian movies. This tragedy is common in India and will spread in Pakistan. Main share in promoting Indian culture in the country is of news media!
@AHSAN FARUQUI
Your comment is full of hate and bigotry…you just said the spread of Indian culture causes rape and murder. What kind of uneducated hate-filled remark is that? Is your goal to further the divide and violence between the two countries? Rape and murder is the result of many things gone wrong in both countries; indian culture is not one of those things.
