Pakistani teenage education activist Malala Yousafzai has welcomed announcement by government that education’s share in national budget will be increased to 4 per cent during the next four years. Talking to a private news channel, Malala Yousafzai said that she is pleased to hear about increase in education budget. She said that lot of work is yet to be done in the field of education. Proper monitoring of educational institutions is also necessary, she added. She thanked PM Nawaz Sharif for this promised increase and said that education is the only guarantee of Pakistan’s bright future. Malala Yousafzai said society and students will also have to play their role as government alone cannot achieve this goal. She said that by giving education to people we can get rid of many social evils. Education will make people more tolerant, said Malala Yousafzai.
