Malik wants PPP, MQM to re-unite

Former Interior Minister and Senator Rehman Malik said on Saturday that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) friendship is essential for country’s development.

Talking to media at airport, Malik said he does not want to publicise discussions between MQM chief Altaf Hussain and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Malik condemned the news about threats given to PPP Parton-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto and urged the Punjab government to probe into the issue.

It may be mentioned here that two days ago Bilawal Bhutto said on Twitter that he had received life threats from Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), an outlawed militant outfit.
