ISLAMABAD-
Former prime ministers Yusuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf were granted exemption by the Accountability Court from appearance in the OGRA corruption case, a private news channel reported.
Islamabad Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Bashir was hearing the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) corruption case.
During the hearing, Advocate Amjad Iqbal Quraishi appeared on behalf of the former prime ministers Gilani and Ashraf.
The case’s main accused Tauqir Sadiq was also present in the court.
Quraishi requested exemptions for his clients. The court accepted the plea and adjourned the hearing till April 9.
