Thar famine: death toll reaches 213 as 3 more die

MITHI/HYDERABAD

Two more women from Tharparkar breathed their last in Mithi Hospital and one patient died in Hyderabad Hospital on Thursday, raising the death toll to 213.
According to hospital sources, the deceased women were admitted in a hospital in Mithi due to famine. On Wednesday, five children died.
Meanwhile, one more famine-affected patient died in Hyderabad Civil Hospital, taking the death toll to 10 in Hyderabad alone.
According to the hospital administration, another four children have been shifted to Hyderabad Civil Hospital from Tharparkar after which the number of affected patients has reached 59.
