The special court on Thursday issued a written verdict to deny the reports of recusal of Justice Faisal Arab from bench of the treason trial against former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf, a private news channel reported.
Earlier on Thursday, it was reported by various news channel that Justice Arab had disassociated himself from the case due to the defence team’s objection over the manner of court proceedings and reservations on the judges’ partiality.
The written verdict stated that Justice Arab left the court room today due to the misconduct by one of the legal teams.
The bench maintains its orders of issuance of a non-bailable arrest warrant for Musharraf if he does not appear in court on March 31, added the verdict.
Earlier at the hearing , Musharraf’s counsel Anwar Mansoor argued over the court orders to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant against his client, adding that such an order gives an impression that the former president was avoiding to appear in the court on purpose.
Mansoor also expressed reservations of the defence team on the appointment of Akram Sheikh as the chief prosecutor, claiming that Shaikh was rumoured to have been tasked with the objective of awarding punishment to Musharraf.
He said that Shiekh should not be allowed to argue in the court as his appointment was objected upon by the defence team day one.
The former dictator’s counsel also reiterated the reservation over the manner of court proceedings.
Justice Arab remarked that when the application submitted against the appointment of the chief prosecutor was accepted, only then Sheikh could be stopped from his duties.

But the arrogant dictator (and his past-time cronies in Al-Faeda Group) turned down the generous offer and continues to enjoy 5-star facilities at AFIC, run through taxpayers money.
More than Rs 1200,000 are being spent everyday on his security and the chicken has been hiding for the last 87 days.
A large number of heart patients are being denied medical treatment at AFIC since the dictator is forcibly occupying 4 rooms (for himself & his guards) on the VIP floor of taxpayers-run hospital in Rawalpindi.
The only solution seems to be to send chicken Musharraf into exile and strip his Pakistani nationality forever. The illegal wealth that he has stashed in the form of Chak Shahzad Farm House, Agricultural Land in Yazman, Luxury Apartment in London and Foreign Currency Deposits in UNB Bank Abu Dhabi. The combined value of these assets is more than Rs 3500 Million.
