Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Thursday said that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) does not seek to enforce Shariah in Pakistan but wants to liberate it from the ‘US war’, private news channels reported.
Khan, speaking to media representatives, said that the direct talks between government committee and TTP Shura have made a clear distinction between the groups which seek peace and which don’t.
He expressed his hope for a positive outcome of the country, adding that lasting peace can ensure prosperity of the people.
Khan said that the ceasefire should be continued and non-combatant prisoners, as demanded by TTP, should be released.
