Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has millions of fans across the globe, will be seen essaying the role of a fan in Yash Raj Films’ forthcoming project Fan.
SRK will be seen in a totally new avatar in the movie and renowned special effects make-up maestro, Greg Cannom has been brought on-board to give him a makeover. He recently spent considerable time with Khan, Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra to discuss the superstar’s look.
Greg has been nominated nine times for the Academy Awards and he has bagged the Oscar three times for the memorable looks that he created in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Dracula (1992). In 2005, along with Wesley Wofford, he also received a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy for the development of special modified silicone material used for make-up applications in motion pictures.
Speaking about the King Khan’s look, Maneesh said, “We are attempting a never-seen before look for Shah Rukh which will be both challenging for us and exciting for the viewer. Understandably, this will be kept under wraps till the first look of the film is revealed.”
Directed by Sharma, Fan will go on floors in mid-2014 and it is slated to release on August 14, 2015.
