An accused of triple murder case attempted self-immolation in Kot Momin police station lock-up.
A handout issued on Tuesday said Qamar Abbas, resident of Lillani Kotmomin, had allegedly axed to death his wife Nighat Bibi and two daughters Maria and Iqra over domestic issues on March 19.
The police arrested the accused and kept him in lockup where he set himself on fire on Monday night.
The accused was shifted to DHQ Hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors said the accused received 60 percent burn injuries on his body.
Kot Momin DPO Raja Basharat Mehmood visited the police station and suspended three policemen including SHO Shabraiz Gujjar over negligence.
