The SHC bench headed by Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh was hearing the appeal against the sentences. During the hearing, lawyers of the accused pointed out some errors in the paper book. The court directed to remove the errors from the paper book and resubmit it. Later, the court adjourned the hearing till April 14.
It may be noted here that an anti-terrorism court had awarded death sentence to accused Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur, while Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were given life imprisonment. An appeal has been filed in the SHC against these penalties.
