As many as two robbers were killed in an encounter near Super Highway link road here on Monday.
Malir SSP Rao Anwar said a police encounter with the accused occurred on Super Highway link road when they were running away after having snatched a reti/bajri truck from Sohrab Goth. Both the robbers were killed in firing during the encounter while the police recovered weapons and snatched truck from their possession.
Meanwhile, an alleged gangster was killed in an encounter in Kharadar area of Lyari. Police said the suspect was killed near Phool Chowk in Kharadar area during an exchange of fire.
They said a gun and a motorcycle were also recovered from the possession of the deceased. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
