ISLAMABAD
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday summoned for next week the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) director general in a missing person’s case.
The court heard a petition about missing person Mohammad Arif filed by his wife Parveen Bibi.
Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan summoned Lt General Zaheerul Islam for next week with an affidavit pertaining to the custody of the missing person.
During proceedings, Parveen’s lawyer informed the court that Arif and two others were taken into ISI custody a few months ago. He said those taken into custody with Arif had been released a few days later, while he was still in the custody.
Raja Khalid, counsel for the federation, sought six weeks for filing reply in the case. However, the judge rejected his request and directed the ISI DG to appear before court next week.
