Noreen Aslam, wife of late SP CID Chaudhry Aslam, has expressed her sadness after the federal government did not confer the prestigious Nishan-e-Haider on her husband.
According to a private news channel, Noreen Aslam said her husband served the nation with bravery and courage but his services were ignored.
She further said that Chaudhry Aslam’s family only wanted the Nishan-e-Haider in exchange for his services but no tribute was given nor an announcement was made to give the prestigious medal to his late husband.
Chaudhry Aslam was assassinated on January 9, 2014, in a bomb blast at his convoy at Lyari Expressway. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for the attack.
