THARPARKAR
At least another five children died of malnutrition in Mithi Hospital, mounting the overall death toll to 194 in Tharparkar District of Sindh.
According to details, six-year-old Farman, three-year-old Naveed and Bhagwan died in Mithi while another child expired in Chahchro on Monday.
Meanwhile, 71 children are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Tharparkar.
Reports say that exodus is also underway as aid activities are facing delay for various reasons. According to sources, fodder for cattle is kept in warehouses and the distribution has yet not started.
Earlier, Tharparkar residents also staged protests. They accused the feudal lords of distributing the aid to their own people. They said that neither the government nor private organisations have approached them so far.
