NAB officer among 9 killed in violence

As many as nine persons including a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation officer and a police constable were killed in firing and other violent incidents in different parts of the city on Sunday.

According to police, NAB officer DSP Agha Jameel was killed when unknown persons opened fire at a hotel in Sharfabad area of Bahadurabad. He was targeted as he was having dinner at a restaurant late night with his son who succumbed to injuries in a hospital.

Police Constable Naeemuddin was killed in a firing incident at Korangi 21/2. A person named Shehzad was killed whereas another was injured by firing near Khajji Ground at Golimar.

In another incident of violence, police recovered a dead body from slaughter house area in Lyari. A man was also shot dead in Rizvia area while a body of a woman was recovered from Ferozabad area. Two bodies were recovered from the jurisdiction of Pak Colony and Shershah Police Stations. Another person, named Haroon, became a victim of unknown gunmen’s firing at Sector 11-L area of North Karachi.
