Islamabad Cycling Team has won the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Margallah Cycle Race organized by CDA. The Moroccan national, Tayyab of Islamabad cycling team secured first position and Owais Khan from Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa stood second while Muhammad Bilal achieved third position during the cycle race. More than 50 professional cyclists from Islamabad, Kasur, Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi, Quetta and Rawalpindi participated in the cycle race. In addition to above a large number of foreign cyclists also participated in the race.
The 20 kilometer cycle race was organized by the CDA in collaboration with the Islamabad Cycling Association here on Sunday. The cycle race was started from Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park, following the track via Jinnah Avenue, Ataturk Avenue, Margallah Road and ended at Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park.
Chief Guest of the event, Director General Sports and Culture, Asif Shahjehan distributed prizes among the winning cyclists. Addressing the participants, he said that in line with the directions of Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal, CDA would continue to organize healthy activities for the promotion of games in the Federal Capital.
