FAISALABAD
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Sunday said the government is holding talks with the banned terrorist outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) but force would be used against the terrorist groups engaged in terror activities.
Talking to reporters, Sanaullah said the government was making all efforts to get rid of terrorism and extremism through peace talks.
He, however, said that those terrorist groups which do not agree in dialogues for resolving the issues would be dealt with iron hands.
The law minister said that information was being gathered against the defunct Ahrarul Hind which claimed the terror attacks after initiation of peace talks.
Sanaullah said that peace talks were at a critical juncture and the US should avoid drone strikes.
To a question, he said that delimitation of constituencies would be completed by the end of 2014 and the Supreme Court (SC) has authorised the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in this regard.
To another question, he said that NGOs played negative role in protest of paramedics and defamed the country by hatching depressing propaganda to get the sympathies and collect funds from so-called foreign human rights champions.
