The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will begin the national immunisation campaign in the province on Monday, while the campaign for public awareness of dengue fever will be launched in Swat, Shangla and Buner districts by April 6.
“The campaign will get underway in all districts except those, where the Sehat Ka Insaf programme is already in place”.
The KP government has set the target of immunising more than 1.6 million children against polio and eight other diseases in four rounds by launching special campaign in Nowshera, Swabi, Charsadda and Mardan.
Meanwhile, the administration has finalised arrangements for the three-day anti-polio campaign. The teams would be accompanied by police and other law enforcers. Terrorists have been attacking the anti-polio teams and a number of people have been killed in the past campaigns in KP and FATA.
