Amidst security threats, common people barred from visiting Iqbal Park

In the backdrop of terror threat, the police on Saturday barred entry of common people and visitors at the Minar-e-Pakistan and its surroundings.

According to sources, the law enforcement agencies received information that the Minar-e-Pakistan, a prestigious monument could be targeted by the terrorists. Following the information, security around the monument and Iqbal Park was tightened a few days ago.

On Saturday, the police and law enforcement agencies personnel sealed 20 metre radius around the Minar-e-Pakistan by placing barbed wires and barriers and barred the entry of general public.
