The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted bail to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) chief Malik Ishaq, a private news channel reported.
According to details, the LHC approved bail plea of Malik Ishaq on Thursday and directed him to deposit two different security bonds worth of Rs 2 lac each.
Malik Ishaq was arrested due to two different lawsuits against him for making provocative speeches that could spread a chaos among the masses.
Earlier on February 7, the United States (US) had designated Malik Ishaq, the chief of proscribed militant group LeJ of Pakistan, in its list of most wanted international terrorists.
“The Department of State had designated Ishaq as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order (E.O.) 13224,” mentioned a statement issued by the US State Department.
