As many as 315 ad-hoc nurses working in government run hospitals in district Rawalpindi have been awarded contract for three years in pursuance of the directives of Punjab government.
These nurses are performing duty in three major hospitals of Rawalpindi including HolyFamilyHospital, CivilHospital, BenazirBhuttoHospital, all the seven tehsil headquarters hospitals, government dispensaries and basic health centres.
This move has paved the legal way for regularisation of their service. Holy Family Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Arshid Ali Sabir has said contract has been awarded to all ad-hoc nurses including 78 nurses from his hospital. Notification in this regard has also been issued.
