ISLAMABAD-

Former Captain of 1992 World Cup cricket team, Imran Khan believes the Indian cricket team is still in awe of Shahid Afridi for his huge sixes that turned the Asia Cup match in Pakistan’s favour.

Khan, while giving an interview to a private news channel, said that Afridi’s significance for the T20 World Cup is high as he, being one of the top five T20 players in the world, can bowl as well as hit huge sixes.

Afridi’s bowling and batting are ideally suited for this format,” he added.

Khan said that contrary to the consistent performance required during test matches, the 20 overs’ T20 matches change hands in a matter of two to three overs, so it is not possible to predict the winner.

Khan also advised the T20 captain to ‘to go in with a flexible mindset when thinking about the batting order’, adding that while he served as the captain he would never shy away from shuffling the batting order when required.

He said that going in with a determined attitude is the key to win a match, even from a losing position.
