Sindh Education Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has directed the officials of the Education Department to take action against the occupiers of government schools.
He was talking to media persons after attending the 22nd Convocation of the NED University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday.
He said that elected representatives have also been asked to identify such schools in their constituencies which were occupied, so that action could be taken.
The minister further said that private schools will be encouraged to make Sindhi a compulsory subject in their syllabus.
Earlier, speaking at the awards distribution ceremony, he said that NEDUniversity’s graduates were playing an important role in the socio-economic development of the country.
As many as 1,413 students were awarded bachelors and masters degrees, while gold medals were conferred on 19 students over their prominent performance.
NED Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Afzal Haq also spoke on the convocation which was attended by Prof Dr Abdul Wahab from MuhammadAliJinnahUniversity, elites of the city and parents of the students.
Mr. Khuhro has very rightly stated these facts. however, the root cause is the mind set not just the individuals….such criminals will continue to be produced in the nursery ….how to check the this concern. The change has to come from the top…..
Mr Qazi Jamal Mustafa….DC South Karachi….is a prime example…..he has grabbed this position without appearing in any examination. How can he get away with this robbery ? Who is supporting him ? has any one asked the Chief Secretary about this ? Who are his daddy"s ?
If they are serious than they can address such issue and others will follow too….May be some investigative Journalist can find answers of the above…… Qazi Jamal Mustafa was a credit card defaulter three years ago…ever since he bought a house in DHA for PKR 60 Million…and also spending alot of money on his lifestyle….It is all illgotten money … Who will Check such grabbers.??? Any Idea
