Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to install 10 new tube-wells in federal capital to overcome water shortage in summer season.

These tube-wells will be installed in National Park area, I-10, I-8 and other sectors. Water level in Sumbli Dam has risen to level of 228 feet due to recent rains, therefore, water supply will be increased by 2 million gallons per day for Islamabad.

CDA member engineering and environment Sana Ullah Khan said 12 out of 22 water tankers are operational at present and order has been given for repair of the remaining 10 tankers. Generators will be installed on tube-wells to keep them running during load shedding.
