A new polio case emerged in North Waziristan on Tuesday.
According to sources, the blood samples of an 11-month baby girl Sapna, Shewa area of NWA, were sent to lab for testing.
The reports confirmed that the baby was infected with polio virus.
According to the national health department report, Pakistan has registered a total of 19 cases this year, with 17 of them emerging from North Waziristan Agency.
Two other cases were from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The reports adds that NWA had recorded 44 cases out of the 92 polio cases registered in the country in 2013.
Sources claim that 0.26 million children were deprived of polio drops in North Waziristan.
