Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has asked the Pakistan Army not to accept any decision of the government which may earn bad name for the country.
Addressing the MQM workers in more than 35 cities on the occasion of 30th foundation day of the party, Altaf Hussain said that if the government ordered the military to send its troops to any country then the Pakistan Army should not follow the orders.
The MQM chief said that only military rulers have been able to change the corrupt system in the country. He further said that if these statements are considered treason a case should be registered against him.
Altaf said that democracy cannot come to a country in presence of a feudal system where girls are being killed in the name of honour.
The venue has not yet been decided where the government would hold direct talks with the Taliban representatives, he said, adding that there is a need to eliminate terrorism in order to ensure security and prosperity of the country.
