TTP investigating about Ahrarul Hind: Ibrahim

PESHAWAR

Professor Ibrahim, member Taliban negotiation committee, said on Sunday the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was investigating about Ahrarul Hind, a militant organisation which had claimed responsibility for the recent terror attacks.
Addressing a news conference, Professor Ibrahim alleged that foreign elements were behind the terror incidents and their sole purpose was to sabotage the peace process. He claimed that the TTP had disowned the terror acts, saying that they had no knowledge of the organisation by the name of Ahrarul Hind.
The Taliban committee had forwarded the TTP’s recommendations to the government, he said and hoped that the nation would soon get peace.
He said the venue for direct talks between the Taliban and government representatives would be decided shortly. He, however, claimed that the talks if held in North Waziristan Agency, would be better and could prove fruitful.
NO TTP CHILDREN, WOMEN IN CUSTODY:
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif said there were no children and women of Taliban in the custody of security forces. The minister, in a statement, said the government would investigate the matter if the Taliban provided evidence of their presence in the custody of security forces.
