Governor asks public servants to serve people with dedication, honesty
Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has called on public servants to work with honestly and dedication for the welfare of people.
The problems of people could be resolved, if there was a will to do so, he said speaking at a get-together of Formanite Alumni Association (Islamabad) on Saturday night.
The Governor said for the first time local parties of Balochistan were ruling the province, which was a good sign for change. Problems could be effectively addressed if local politicians and parties were empowered, he added.
He said law and order situation worsened in Pushtoon areas of the province bordering Afghanistan due to NATO and other international forces involvement in the region.
He said Balochistan was a vast province with scattered population and limited resources. However, the provincial government was trying its best to improve services sector, safety of roads and law and order situation.
Earlier, Azeem Chaudhry opened the function by welcoming the alumni to FCC.
Many former alumni of Foreman Christian College (FCC), including former federal secretary Salim Gul, Admiral Iftihar Ahmed, Zee Wawaqar, and Muhammad Mobeen shared their experiences after leaving the college.
The Governor Balochistan, who is also former alumni of FCC, was presented a souvenir.
