The Islamabad High Court on Friday granted bail to Farkhand Iqbal, former chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), on a bail plea against his arrest.
A single member bench of IHC, comprising Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi granted bail and directed the respondent to deposit two surety bonds of Rs 1 million each.
During course of hearing, counsel for former CDA chairman, apprised the bench that his client did not commit any illegal act and there is no documented evidence against him.
Farkhand was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on different allegations including malpractice in the auction of the commercial plots.
