Aamir files police complaint about ‘defamatory’ campaign against him

The otherwise calm Aamir Khan recently went to the Mumbai Police to complain about a ‘defamatory’ campaign that has been launched against him on many leading social networking sites, in an attempt to stain his repute.

He met up with Sadanand Date (Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) on Saturday at the Mumbai Police’s HQ, to discuss about the ‘false and malicious messages’ which were being spread like wildfire via mediums like Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp etc… He stated that this was done in order to malign his reputation in accordance with his TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ (SMJ). He added that, while the preliminary enquiry is on at the moment, Aamir was likely to share more details with them soon.

Meanwhile, Aamir had even communicated to the Facebook officials asking them to respond to his distress call. He stated that the social media mediums were being used as a vehicle to spread the rumors which alleged that the donations that were being sought in ‘SMJ’ was in relation to an entity claiming to be working in the field of Masjid Construction Assistance and placement assistance for the Islamic youngsters.

Aamir also clarified strongly that all of the donations which were sought in ‘SMJ’ were channelized totally for the deserving and secular causes.
