Sheraz Zikri, a brother of notorious gangster Ghaffar Zikri, was killed during a raid jointly conducted by Rangers and police in Lyari area of the city on Wednesday.
Sheraz Zikri alias Fateh Muhammad was involved in various crimes and was a wanted criminal, sources said. Moreover, two alleged gangsters were also killed last night.
Meanwhile Rangers personnel have arrested more than 20 suspects during search operation in different areas of Karachi.
Rangers conducted targeted operation in SITE Metroville area of troubled metropolis on a tip-off regarding presence of criminal elements and activists of banned outfits.
Around 300 personnel including women participated in the operation while entry/exit points were sealed.
During the house-to-house search operation, several suspects were taken into custody.
On the other hand, police arrested 20 accused including proclaimed offenders from Pehalwan Goth of Gulistan-e-Johar. Huge cache of arms was seized from the arrested.
