The Council of Islamic Ideology on Tuesday declared the ban on child marriage as un-Islamic, a private news channel reported.
According to the news report, the ban over child marriage does not hold ground and children can get married at an early age.
The bride can be bid to her husband’s household for consummating the marriage, once she is mature, added the council.
The ‘age of maturity’ has been declared 15 years for the girls.
