7 including three women killed in firing incidents

As many as seven people including three women lost their lives in various incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday.

Two old women were found dead inside their home in Karachi under mysterious circumstances, a day after bodies of two young girls were found from city’s outskirts. Police and rescue teams said they recovered five-days-old bodies of two women from a house located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal’s Block 13-D. The officials told the victims were retired teachers aging between 70 and 74 years. Police were investigating clues about deaths of the victims. Their bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Unknown gunmen stormed a house in Landhi, killing a man and woman on the spot, and fled from the scene.

In a nearby Madina Colony area, another person was gunned down, who could not be identified till filing of this report.

A person was shot dead in Haroonabad. Identity of the victim was not confirmed. Another person was gunned down near Jaman Shah Mazar in Garden area, police said.

Separately, one person got injured in a gun attack near Teen Hatti area. No suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the latest shooting incidents.
