As many as $ 32 billion Chinese investment package will be fully implemented, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during a meeting with a delegation of Chinese Industrial Group Shan Dong Rauye about ways to encourage Chinese investment in the province on Sunday. The progress in the establishment of textile industry at the Punjab Apparel Park was also reviewed in the meeting.
He said under the package China will assist Pakistan in infrastructure‚ energy and transport sectors. He said the Punjab government has identified six places for establishment of coal power plants in the province.
Chinese company chairman said that they will invest $ 119 million for technical assistance in setting up of the Apparel Park.
