He likes his cars, the premier does. All through his years in exile, he was a regular at the world’s most prestigious car shows.

Journalist Kuldip Nayar and films man Mahesh Bhatt were in Lahore recently.

Nayar spoke some sense while talking about the need for better relations between neighbouring countries.

Nayar presented Mahesh Bhatt as a sort of role model. He is a vegetarian because of his Hindu father, Nayar said, and he fasts during Ramadan because of his Muslim mother. In fact, he doesn’t even drink anymore, which is more than what one could say about some of the devout here.
