The much-awaited 11th annual car show organised by the Vintage and Classic Cars Club of Pakistan will be held today (Sunday) in the parking lot of The Forum in Clifton, Karachi. Scores of fascinating vintage and classic cars, some rare and prestigious, will be on display.
The Vintage and Classic Cars Club of Pakistan organises the auto-show every year in the city of lights with the concept of refreshing past memories and showcasing the classic masterpiece auto vehicles of the 20th century.
Mohsin Ikram, president of the club said: “Family entertainment events like this full-day car show is symbolic of people’s taste for class and all that is precious. We are sincerely committed to promoting peace and prosperity in Karachi and hope the event continues to attract a large number of enthusiasts who come along with their families to enjoy a great weekend.”
More than 100 classic cars including the historic Rolls Royce Ghosts used by Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Lord Mountbatten, the 1947 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet of King Zahir Shah and the eye catching American Cruisers and Muscle cars from 1950’s and late 1960’s will be on display, in as much as the Chevrolet Corvette and Pakistan’s first VW beetle.
