A two percent quota has been allotted for the journalists in PHA Employees Housing Scheme Islamabad.
Ministry of Information has issued directives to the concerned authorities for allocation of two percent quota for the journalists and the journalists organisations have also been informed in this respect.
Government has directed information secretary to make consultation with the elected representatives of journalists for inviting applications from the journalists for allotment of plots. Balloting will be held in press club to ensure transparency in the allotment process. Information minister is however convinced that names of those journalists be included in balloting to whom plots have not been allotted in media town.
A committee comprising both of the organizations of the journalists has been constituted to scrutinize the applications to be received from the journalists and only those journalists will be included in balloting process who come up to the criterion set for allotment of plots.
